The Henry Ford Building at Freie Universität Berlin will serve as the venue for the 21st International Congress on Marine Corrosion and Fouling (ICMCF 2026). Located in the Dahlem district in the southwest of Berlin, it is one of the university’s most prominent and historic landmarks.
Constructed between 1952 and 1954, the building reflects the modern, transparent architectural style of post-war Germany and symbolizes the values of openness, academic freedom, and international collaboration that define Freie Universität Berlin.
Today, the Henry Ford Building is a central academic and conference venue, offering lecture halls, seminar rooms, and a large auditorium. It regularly hosts international conferences and provides a professional and inspiring environment for scientific exchange.
The venue is easily accessible by public transport, with the U3 underground station Freie Universität (Thielplatz) within walking distance and several bus lines nearby. Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) can be reached in approximately 30–40 minutes, ensuring convenient travel for both national and international participants.
As part of one of Germany’s leading research universities, the Henry Ford Building offers an excellent setting for ICMCF 2026.
